This series of experiments began with an in-depth exploration of traditional basketry techniques using rattan. After learning the basics, I pushed its boundaries by weaving with unconventional materials.
These interventions add new textures and shapes to an ancient craft. They serve as prototypes for functional designs I plan to develop in the future.
